YORK City ladies hit FA Cup first round qualifying hosts Kader for six in a one-sided contest.

Goalkeeper Chloe Precious was a virtual spectator as hat-trick hero Katie Duckworth got on the scoresheet, along with Alicia Smith, Lauren Shuttleworth and skipper Sara Renfrew.

After a Renfrew half-volley from Jazz Whitwell’s corner was blocked, York forged ahead in the 23rd minute when Duckworth met Whitwell’s right-wing cross with a fine header.

With player-of-the-game Nikki Brown stopping any momentum from the Middlesbrough team, the visitors went in 1-0 up at half-time.

Pacey full-back Josie Hewson was introduced for the second period and, shortly afterwards, she zipped past Kader players to create the second goal with Duckworth heading in again.

She completed her hat-trick in the 75th minute and then Smith made it 4-0 following a goalkeeping error.

Substitute Shuttleworth blasted in a fifth and Renfrew completed the scoring on 85 minutes with another header.

The Minster ladies have been drawn at home to Whitley Bay in the next round with the tie taking place on Sunday, October 12, kick-off 2pm.
