FUNDRAISERS in a Selby village have raised £430 for charity.
Steve Brown, from Rock Choir in Selby collected the funds from the village of Burn, which will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.
The money was raised over Rock Choir’s twelve months as Burn’s Freemen of the Village, a title given to them when they switched on the village Christmas lights, and came from collections at events in the village.
The Selby Rock Choir meets on a Wednesday from 8pm to 9.30pm at Portholme Church, Portholme Road in Selby.
Choir leader Mr Brown is a music producer and has composed for BBC’s The One Show, Songs of Praise and Rip-off Britain.
