A SELECTION of real ales, perries and ciders will be on offer at the fifth York Charity Beer Festival this week, which is raising funds for a youth homeless charity.
Organised by York Round Table, the event will be held over two days, from 5pm-11pm tomorrow (July 1) and from 12noon-11pm on Saturday at the York Brewery’s tap room in Toft Green.
Drinkers can choose from more than 20 real ales, perries and ciders. All profits will go to York-based charity Safe and Sound Homes (SASH), which aims to prevent vulnerable young people from becoming homeless. Martin Frost, one of the event’s organisers, said: “We’re hoping it’s going to be our best beer festival yet and it’s all for a great cause.
“We are once again being supported by many generous local businesses who are sponsoring the event. So far we have 40 businesses.”
Call Martin on 01904 561450 if you would like to support the event.
