BORIS Johnson's referendum battle-bus encountered some unexpected opposition on Tuesday - in the form of a diligent Yorkshire traffic warden.
The bus was parked near Betty's in Harrogate town centre when it was ticketed by a traffic officer from Harrogate Borough Council.
Local website Harrogate News captured the ticket being written out, and shared the photograph with The Press.
The traffic officer then reportedly removed the ticket again, but Nicky Garside, the council's head of safer communities, said: “The parking ticket was issued to the Vote Leave campaign bus because it was parked illegally. The ticket was removed in error and as such the council will now follow the matter up with the vehicle’s registered keeper.”
