2 car crash closes road - air ambulance at the scene
TWO people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Tadcaster.
Police and paramedics were called at 12.10pm to reports of an accident involving a blue Mazda and silver Vauxhall Astra in Rudgate, near Tadcaster Grammar School.
The junction with Leeds Road was closed and Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent two road ambulances, a rapid repsonse vehicle and the air ambulance.
Both casualties were taken to York Hospital by road ambulance and the helicopter was stood down.
