THIEVES stole jewellery from a recently widowed woman in Monk Fryston.
The burglary happened between 1pm and 3.55pm on Monday (November 23), when an offender broke into a house in Lumby Hill through a first floor window.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the burglar or burglars ransacked every upstairs room, and stole items including a Pandora necklace and bracelet.
