FIRE crews had to cut the roof from a crashed car in York this evening.
Emergency services were called to Wigginton Road at about 6.20pm where a car containing two women had crashed into a set of traffic lights.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said one woman was able to leave the car of her own accord, but crews from York and Acomb had to cut the roof off to release the other.
The spokesman said the second woman was taken to hospital and suffered minor injuries.
Crews left the scene at about 7.20pm.
