BUSINESSES are being encouraged to learn more about the benefits of corporate social responsibility at an event hosted by Langleys Solicitors and Handelsbanken.
Speakers include Steve Burkeman, trustee of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation; Chris Leech, community engagement director at Novacroft; and Jan Garrill, chief executive of Two Ridings Community Foundation.
They will share their experiences of the benefits of being a responsible business and why local giving makes a difference to business donors, charities and the wider York community.
Emma Warner, pictured, partner at Langleys, said: “We felt being a responsible business and the benefits of giving made an interesting topic for this joint event with Handelsbanken. Our key speakers will provide useful insights into why local giving is good for businesses and good for York.”
The event is on Thursday, October 13, at Langleys’ Queens House offices in Micklegate, York, from 5pm to 7pm. To book a place, email anna.spencer@langleys.com
